New Position Reflects Growth of Wealth Management Firm
CLEVELAND-April 1, 2008-The wealth management firm Cedar Brook Financial Partners LLC ("Cedar Brook") has named Jeffrey M. Biggar ("Biggar") to the new position of chief operating officer. Biggar was most recently the senior managing director and chief executive officer of Sterling Asset Management ("Sterling"), the private wealth and family counsel division of National City Corporation ("National City").
"We created the new position of chief operating officer in response to our continued growth and the strong forward momentum of our business," noted William D. Glubiak, managing member and chief executive officer of Cedar Brook. "The Principals in our firm agreed that Jeff Biggar is eminently qualified to provide the leadership necessary to sustain our success and position us for future growth. We are exceptionally pleased to have him join us."
"While I enjoyed my brief retirement and the chance to pursue other interests, the opportunity to join Cedar Brook was irresistible," added Biggar. "Their commitment to the client, culture of collaboration and innovative business model are the perfect match for my skills, experience and values. I have enormous respect for the firm and am honored to join it."
Biggar joined Sterling in 2000 and retired from it in March 2006 concluding a distinguished 33-year career at National City that included senior management positions in asset management, personal trust and private banking, as well as corporate banking and corporate planning.
