Benjamin A. Katz is Director of the Employee Benefits Division for Cedar Brook Financial Partners. Mr. Katz’s 15-plus years of experience and market knowledge have enabled him to grow the Employee Benefits Division into one of Cedar Brook Financial Partners’ fastest-growing divisions. His clients range from small closely held companies to publicly traded corporations. Mr. Katz is a Registered Representative with Securities America Inc. and Investment Advisor Representative with Securities America Advisors.

Mr. Katz began his career in 1992, selling individual life and disability products with Northwestern Mutual Life. He served as a Financial Planner with Cleveland Financial Group from 2001 to 2005 with a special interest in the employee benefits field. Since 2004, his work in this field has been recognized annually as part of the “Elite Producers” circle sponsored by Benefit Mall, one of the nation’s largest employee benefits general agents. This award recognizes those representatives with extensive knowledge of the marketplace and creativity in crafting benefit solutions. During this period, Mr. Katz has remained the only qualifier for this honor from the Greater Cleveland area.

A native of New York City, Mr. Katz received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. He currently is licensed for Life, Health and Variable Annuities in the state of Ohio. An active member of the community, Mr. Katz volunteers his time for Segula and the Friendship Circle, educational organizations which were founded to benefit the developmentally handicapped. He also serves on the Finance Committee for Fuchs Mizrachi School and the Advisory Committee for Kaiser Permanente of Ohio.

Mr. Katz and his wife, Michele, have three children and reside in Beachwood, Ohio.
