Michael C. Perlmuter is a Principal with Cedar Brook Financial Partners. A veteran of Greater Cleveland’s investment and legal communities, he specializes in providing comprehensive financial planning services, including asset management and sophisticated insurance strategies, to affluent individuals and families, business professionals, and closely held business owners. Mr. Perlmuter is a Registered Representative with Securities America Inc. and Investment Advisor Representative with Securities America Advisors.

Prior to joining Cedar Brook Financial Advisors, Mr. Perlmuter served as a Financial Planner with Eton Financial Services, a division of Cleveland Financial Group, from 1999 to 2005. There, he earned several annual top producer awards. Before entering the financial advisory field, Mr. Perlmuter served as President and CEO of Cleveland, Ohio-based Perlmuter Printing Company. In 1996, he sold the company to St. Ives, plc, a publicly traded printing conglomerate headquartered in London, UK. Mr. Perlmuter began his career as a practicing attorney with Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff in Cleveland, where he specialized in corporate counseling and sophisticated litigation in matters relating to securities, unfair trade and antitrust.

Mr. Perlmuter graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government. He earned his Juris Doctorate from The National Law Center, George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1982. Mr. Perlmuter is Insurance licensed in the state of Ohio.

An active member of the Greater Cleveland community, Mr. Perlmuter serves or has recently served on the Board of Trustees for several local charitable organizations, including the Cleveland Speech & Hearing Center, the Cleveland Chapter of the American Jewish Committee and Fairmount Temple. Additionally, he is the interim President of the Cleveland Chapter of ORT America, a non-profit, non-governmental organization that enriches communities by educating the individuals within them. He also serves as head of the 21st Century Forum Initiative of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, and he has recently served on the Advisory Board of Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. Additionally, Mr. Perlmuter is a recent Past President of The Oakwood Club, and he has served as a Cleveland alumni interviewer for Georgetown University.

Mr. Perlmuter resides in Pepper Pike, Ohio with his wife, Shari, and their two daughters.
